You will encounter lots of returning visitors to your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but one character you can count on seeing every week is KK Slider. Once you have completed Project K, the wandering musician will stop by your island every Saturday to hold a small concert. Here’s everything you need to know.

When does KK appear?

As in previous Animal Crossing games, KK Slider holds a concert in your city every Saturday night. You will see him camp in front of your Resident Services building all day, but he will only perform with music between 18.00 and midnight. If an event such as Fishing tournament takes place on your town square on Saturday, KK instead postpones its visit to Sunday.

How does the concert take place?

Talk to KK after kl. 18, and he will ask if you want to hear a song. You can request a specific melody or have him pick one at random. Once that is decided, you can sit in one of the chairs in the square and you will see KK perform.

If you have friends on your island while KK is nearby, you can all see him perform together. Each player, however, must sit down before the person requesting the song sits down; if you sit too late, you will miss the show.

When KK is done, he gives you a copy of the song he just played to take home. You can talk to him again to request more songs, but you will only receive a recording of the first song he plays that night. You can also buy songs through Nook Shopping, but there are some “secret” songs that you can only receive by specifically requesting them from KK
