Beyond Meat said on Friday it would be rescinding the role of chief supply chain officer after Bernie Adcock informed that he would be stepping down from the position, effective September 30.
The processed meat producer said that chief operating officer and senior vice president of manufacturing operations, Jonathan Nelson, will oversee the company’s supply chain responsibilities once Adcock leaves.
Beyond Meat added that Adcock was leaving to seize another opportunity.
Earlier this week, Nelson was assigned to oversee operations on a temporary basis after Chief Operating Officer Doug Ramsey was arrested for allegedly biting a man’s nose.
Rising inflation has dampened the company’s efforts to make its more expensive plant-based meat more accessible to consumers, forcing it to cut its revenue forecast for 2022 and slash 4% of its global workforce in August.
