Cronenberg, who also wrote the original film, will executive produce along with Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer of Media Res Studio and Meredith Duff and Sarah Sullivan of Wayward Films.

Other executive producers include René and Fanny-Laure Malo, Pierre David, Clark Peterson and Aaron Gilbert.

Ellenberg’s Media Res is in development Scanners for over five years. The company is known for taking the time to completely bake shows that then generate buzz and acclaim.
