Fortnite’s Naruto collaboration involves more than just skins

After a tease last week, Fortnite‘s much anticipated collaboration with Naruto is here finally. From Tuesday, you will be able to play as characters from the hugely popular anime series Naruto: Shippuden in Epic Games’ hit Battle Royale. There will be four Naruto figures now available in the store with items in the game – Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno and Kakashi Hatake – as well as a Naruto gliders, two emotes and two loading screens.

But Fortnite is not just getting Naruto leather. A caste that can be thrown is added as a weapon to the game. You will be able to face Kakashi Hatake as an NPC Fortnite island and get quests from him. And there will be a whole Naruto-theme Creative map you can explore based on Hidden Leaf Village from anime.

You will see soon Naruto characters jumping off the battle bus.

That Naruto acquisition is the latest of Fortnites many extensive collaborations with other major entertainment properties. Previous hits included the addition of Star wars lightsaber as a weapon and an entire season dedicated to Marvel characters and locations. Although the current season is not tied to any existing brand – instead it is full of dice – is introduced Naruto characters bring some anime ninja action to Fortnite island.
