There are many reasons why someone might want to hide an app – and Android has plenty of ways to do that. What if you want to do the opposite? Is it possible to find apps that have been hidden?
Many home screens and some specialized apps have the ability to hide things. This is the method most people will use, but all launchers work differently. Instead of focusing on specific methods of hiding apps, we’ll show you how to find apps on any Android device.
Note: The information in this manual must be used responsibly. There are legitimate reasons why someone might be hiding apps. Unless you have one very good reason for not doing so, you should respect their privacy.

First swipe down from the top of the screen once or twice – depending on the manufacturer of your phone – and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
Then go to “Apps”.
On some devices, tap “View all apps”. Others will go directly to the full app list.
If your phone has the capability, make sure you look at “All Apps.”
Now you can see the full list of apps installed on your device. Even apps that have been hidden by the home screen are displayed here. The only way to hide an app from this list would be with some pretty serious hacking.
That’s all there is to it! This is likely to be a fairly long list of apps, so it requires some degree of attention to detail. The hidden apps are not tagged. But it works no matter what app they use to hide things. Just make sure you do not unnecessarily infringe on anyone’s privacy by doing this.
