First unveiled during the California Streaming event last month, pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 7 finally open on October 8 at. 8:00 EST (or 5AM PST). General availability starts October 15, which is also when pre-orders are shipped.
The Apple Watch Series 7 is a step-by-step upgrade over its predecessor, but if you use an older Apple Watch, it’s definitely an enticing product. The display, which is always on, is 20% larger than what we saw in the Series 6 Watch, and it’s about 50% larger than the Apple Watch Series 3’s display.
A larger screen gives the Apple Watch Series 7 a few exclusive features, including a full-size keyboard, new dials, and a modular dial that displays all of your key information, including health and fitness metrics, over time.
Available in new 41mm and 45mm sizes, the Apple Watch Series 7 features a more crack-resistant display. It is also the first Apple Watch with an IP6X certification that repels dust and sand, even though it has the same WR50 swimming resistance as previous models. (Despite the larger sizes, the Apple Watch Series 7 works with existing watch bands.)
And like the Series 6 Watch, the new Apple Watch Series 7 has plenty of sensors to measure your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and sleep. That said, it does not have any new sensors, so Series 6 owners should take some time to think about before upgrading.
You can pre-order the new Apple Watch Series 7 in the online Apple Store on October 8 (8:00 AM EST or 5AM PST). The new smartwatch starts at $ 400. If you pre-order a mobile model from Apple or through your carrier (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile), Apple will send you a $ 100 discount on your purchase.
