Kendall Jenner has revealed that she felt “completely comfortable” wearing a sheer top at her first runway show in 2014.
The supermodel and reality TV star made her runway debut in 2014 for Marc Jacobs.
Recalling the experience in a new episode of Fashion‘Life in Looks,’ the 26-year-old said she was ‘strangely low on nerves’ as she made her way around the room.
“I had just turned 18 and I remember getting a call from my agent saying Marc wanted to put me in this sheer top, and I was like, ‘I’m a game,’” Jenner explained.
Jenner walked the show in a brown slim-fitting low-cut sheer top, with brown shorts, sheer brown tights and matching boots.
“I was pretty chill, even though my boobs were out. I don’t mind, I’m totally fine with the nipple,” Jenner said.
“So it didn’t make me any more nervous. I was really like, ‘Dope, whatever they want. It’s their vision, so let’s do it.” I was completely at ease.”
Looking back at the beginning of her modeling career, Jenner said she “couldn’t believe” she was on the show at the time.
However, she said the walk was relatively easy because she wore flat boots, as opposed to high heels.
“I remember going to my desk and getting a walking class because I didn’t necessarily know what I was doing,” Jenner said.
“And I think I took the tips too seriously and ended up getting really stiff when I got to the runway. I have learned a lot since then.”
Also in the episode, Jenner explained one of her recent looks while in Italy with her boyfriend, basketball player Devin Booker, at her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding celebrations.
Jenner made headlines when she stepped out in a vintage Dolce & Gabbana look that mimicked a similar look worn by actor Monica Belluci at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival.
Jenner’s look included a high-waisted beige pencil skirt covered in brown and white floral patterns and a matching blazer with a single button across the chest, revealing her belly.
In photos, Booker was captured walking next to Jenner in a matching all-cream outfit.
“I felt really honored to wear it,” Jenner said of the look. “We didn’t get along on purpose, it just happened. We walked out and we were like, ‘Oh this is great’.”
