GREEN BAY – The Packers have identified receivers Christian Watson (hamstring) and Randall Cobb (illness), tight end Marcedes Lewis (groin) and tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) as doubtful for Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay.
Receiver Allen Lazard (ankle), defensive lineman Kenny Clark (groin), offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins (knee), and kicker Mason Crosby (illness) have not been given game status and are expected to play. It marks Crosby’s 244th consecutive game played.
Receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) has been ruled out after not practicing since Wednesday.
Lazard and Lewis returned to practice on Friday after sitting idle on Thursday. Bakhtiari was a limited participant for the second day in a row. Cobb hasn’t trained this week.
With Watkins out and two other receivers in doubt, Head Coach Matt LaFleur told reporters before Friday’s practice that rookie fourth-round pick Romeo Doubs “will probably have to take more of a burden this week.”
Doubs has six catches for 64 yards on 60 offensive snaps this season, but said Thursday he is willing to play more than that Sunday if called up.
“I would feel very comfortable with that,” Doubs said. “I just want to do my best to help the team win this week, so come what may. I’m in control of my own destiny and I’m going to make sure I prepare and do my part to the best of my ability.”
The Buccaneers rule out receiver Chris Godwin (hamstring) and defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (foot), while left tackle Donovan Smith (elbow) and tight end Cade Otton (personal) are questionable. Smith did not train on Friday after returning to training on Thursday.
Four Buccaneers identified as questionable: running back: Leonard Fournette (hamstring) and receivers Julio Jones (knee) receiver Breshad Perriman (knee) and Russell Gage (hamstring)
Tampa Bay has not given game status to the following players who are all expected to be available: quarterback Tom Brady (right finger), linebacker Lavante David (resting), cornerback Carlton Davis (hip), receiver Scotty Miller (calf), cornerback Zyon McCollum ( hamstring) and center Robert Hainsey (knee).
