Shurooq builds Kuta skate park on Al Heera Beach in Sharjah

The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced the start of construction of the “Kuta” shipyard for professionals in Sharjah, near Al Heera Beach, the largest beach project in its portfolio for tourism and entertainment, and has revealed that construction and equipment operations are scheduled to complete in the first quarter of this year, coinciding with the opening of Al-Hira Beach.

The park project comes as part of a partnership between Shurooq and world skater Dakota Schwitz, known as “Kota” and four-time winner of the World Scooter Association Championship, as he competes for the first time in the UAE, his professional and inspiring design for the ideal skate park for professionals that welcomes skaters of all ages, and from different professional levels, starting with amateurs and those who want to learn.

The park, which bears the name “Kuta Skate Park”, includes several tracks for all levels of skateboarding, including skateboarding, skating shoes, scooters and BMX bikes, and includes a children’s track that surrounds the skate park from the outside, and takes into account adhering to the highest standards of safety and security.

Regarding the announcement of the new destination, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) Director of Operations Department Khaled Ibrahim Al Qaseer said: “Through (Kota Skate Park), (Shurooq) offers a new qualitative option, in addition to the many and varied options that Sharjah offers to its residents, visitors and tourists, Thus integrating the new park with the cultural, heritage, environmental and investment destinations, which have made Sharjah one of the most attractive destinations in the region .

Al-Qusair added: “The new park depicts the permanent orientation of Shurooq for the creation of tourist and social destinations that present innovative ideas in collaboration with leading international experts. To carry out various activities that are popular with all groups of different ages, especially in light of the expansion of the weekend, which will increase the demand for entertainment, entertainment and retail destinations. ”
