Fans of Marvel and MCU may remember that the release of tickets for Avengers: Endgame did one huge number of cinema tickets throughout the United States. Now it looks like Spider-Man:has done exactly the same thing where fans online claim both and Fandango are down due to demand.
The release of amay be part of the blame. Earlier on Sunday, AMC announced that the first 86,000 “AMC Stubs A-List, Premiere or Investor Connect members” who purchased or reserved tickets for a Dec. 16 screening of Spider-Man would receive an “eco-friendly” Spider-Man NFT for their problems. Hard to say if this had any bearing on the AMC side going down, but it most likely did not help. AMC and Fandango did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In addition to AMC, the demand for Spider-Man: No Way Home tickets seems to be affecting almost every pre-order service out there. Some users report that other sites like Drafthouse are also experiencing difficulties. We will update when we hear more.
Movies are coming in 2021 and 2022 from Netflix, Marvel, HBO and more
