Spider-Man: No Way Home’s new trailer features Green Goblin

Spidey has worked for him.

Marvel / Sony

Spider-Man: No Way Home got another epic trailer Tuesday, a month before Marvel Cinematic Universe film will hit theaters on December 17th. It comes after introductory trailer, which focused on the film’s multiverse villains, beat YouTube records over the summer.

Watch the new No Way Home trailer below.

Unlike the previous trailer, the latest confirms that Spidey’s scam gallery of villains is here to play. We get a clear look at Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), Sandman (at least the CGI version of him), Electro (Jamie Foxx, whose bolts are now yellow instead of his blue lightning in The Amazing Spider -Man 2) and, amazingly, Lizard too (also in CGI at 2:21 in the video)! Peter Parker also shows a darker repetition of his suit.

For those hoping to see the return of Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield – sorry, they’re not in this trailer either. The couple who played previous versions of Spider-Man have become rumored to return thanks to the opening of the multiverse.

This Phase 4 MCU adventure will see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker face villains from Spidey movies that stretch back to Maguire and Garfield eras, although they took place in different universes.

No Way Home closes the trilogy that started in 2017 Spider-Man: Homecoming and follows Peter as he tries to deal with the fallout from the 2019 follow-up Spider-Man: Far From Home ‘s closing moments. In the wake of his apparent death, Mysterio revealed the crawler’s identity to the world.

The new movie will apparently reveal what goes down when Peter gets another Avenger Doctor Strange to cast a spell that makes everyone forget he’s Spidey. What could go wrong?

A whole multiverse of problems, obviously.

Here is the official synopsis:

“For the first time in Spider-Man’s film history, the identity of our friendly neighborhood hero is revealed, bringing his superhero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and endangering those he cares about the most. “tearing holes in their world and releasing the most powerful villains that have ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now Peter must overcome his greatest challenge to date, which will not only forever change his own future, but the future of the Multiverse.”

Along with the Netherlands, Sony and Marvel Studios’ movie stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina and Benedict Cumberbatch. It’s led by Jon Watts, who will also direct Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic four.

MCU Spidey also gets an animated prequel show, Spider-Man: Freshman Year, who will explore Peter’s journey ahead of Homecoming.
