The fastest way to open your camera on Android

Android camera moves fast.

A smartphone makes it easy to take pictures in your daily life. However, some of these moments are fleeting. We show you the fastest way to launch the camera on your Android phone. Never miss a shot again.

Most people place the shortcut to the camera app in an easy place for quick launch from the home screen. This is a good practice, but your Android phone probably has two methods to launch the camera even faster.

Start from the lock screen

We start with the slightly faster method. Many Android devices have a shortcut to the camera directly on the lock screen. You can boot directly to the camera without fully unlocking the device.

This is what it looks like on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, for example. The camera path is in the lower right corner.

Simply slide the camera icon to the left and the camera app will fly in from the right side.

That is it! You can skip the unlock step and get to the camera a little faster.

Note: This does not bypass the security of your lock screen. It only opens the camera. You must unlock the device properly to exit the camera.

Start with the Power button

The fastest way to start the camera is to use the phone’s on / off button. This method does not require ironing or unlocking. It’s super fast, and your Android device most likely supports it.

All you have to do is double-press the power button. If your device supports it, the camera will start immediately.

This works from anywhere. You can use another app or it can be locked in your pocket. Just double-press the power button and the camera starts. Simple as that.

Note: This does not bypass the security of your lock screen. It only opens the camera. You must unlock the device properly to exit the camera.

There’s nothing worse than missing a moment because you could not get your camera out fast enough. Hopefully these tips can help you be faster and never miss taking a special photo again.
