The live-action Halo TV show on Paramount Plus gets its first short teaser

The long-in-works glory TV series finally has its first – very short – teaser trailer unveiled today at Microsoft’s 20th anniversary Xbox event, which provides a first glimpse into the live-action adaptation of the iconic games.

The teaser is very map, offering just a few close-ups of Master Chiefs Mjolnir armor (set to be filled with American godsPablo Schreiber in the live-action show), before a voice that sounds a lot like Cortana (Jen Taylor repeating her role from the games) says “Hi, Master Chief.”

glory have had several attempts at live action before, including Halo: Landfald (a series of promotional shorts made as Halo 3 ads), Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn (a web series that served as a marketing campaign for Halo 4), and Halo: The night (another prequel series Halo 5: Guardians). glory on Paramount Plus, however, it seems to be the most ambitious attempt to date to adapt the sci-fi series.

It is not yet clear what glory will actually be beyond the broad lines of the franchise, or whether it will be to adapt the already released games, tell a new story or exist in another space in glory universe.

It’s been a long road to live action glory series, which is set to debut on Paramount Plus sometime in 2022. The show was first announced way back in 2018 as a Showtime series, before being moved to become a Paramount Plus exclusive earlier this year following COVID-related production delays .

But with the release of today’s teaser, it looks like fans will not have to wait too much longer.
