2020: Miami Heat SG Tyler Herro scored the most points (37) by a rookie in Conference Finals history, most by a Heat rookie in the playoffs, and became the youngest with 30+ PTS off the bench in NBA playoffs history, as Miami took a 3-1 ECF lead over Boston in the bubble

2018: New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees broke Brett Favre’s all-time record for Passing Completions with his 6,300th during a 43-37 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Brees retired after extending his record to 7,142 but has since been surpassed by Tom Brady

2003: Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz hit the 1st walk-off HR of his Red Sox career. Big Papi would go on to hit 12 walk-off HRs (10 regular season, 2 postseason) with Boston while totaling 13 over his career for the t-most in MLB history (Jim Thome, Mickey Mantle)

2001: New England Patriots QB Tom Brady took over at QB for an injured Drew Bledsoe, ultimately leading the Patriots to their 1st Super Bowl victory and would remain the starting QB for 19 years where he led the greatest dynasty in NFL history

1988: Oakland Athletics OF Jose Canseco became the very 1st player to record 40+ Home Runs & 40+ Stolen Bases during 1 season in MLB history. Only 3 players (Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, & Alfonso Soriano) have since joined the exclusive 40-40 club

1985: Seattle Seahawks QB Dave Krieg completed an improbable PASS TD to Danny Greene after he fumbled, it slipped past 2 defender’s hands, he picked it up, and then still managed to throw for the TD against the Rams on Monday Night Football

1984: Detroit Tigers MGR Sparky Anderson became the 1st Manager to win 100+ games during a season in both the American & National Leagues in MLB history

1983: Philadelphia Phillies HOF SP Steve Carlton earned his 300th career victory in a 6-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals
